About Me

I am a Ph.D. student in Teaching and Learning, and Policy and Leadership (TLPL) at University of Maryland.

  • M.Eng in Computer Science, Johns Hopkins University
  • B.S in Computer Science, Purdue University-West Lafayette

Main Research Interests

My research examines how AI can function as a facilitator of learning—rather than an instructor—by integrating learning sciences theory, educational technology design, and hybrid analytic methods to support equitable mathematics learning for neurodiverse students.

My current interest revolves around the following themes:

  • AI-assisted learning technology for Computer Science and Math
  • Adaptive Learning and Teaching in Mathematics for students with learning disabilities (ex. autism, ADHD, dyscalculia)
  • Academic integrity and copyright awareness of students in the era of generative AI

Fun Facts about Rosalyn

I have two cats!

Sirius (현금)
Eleanora (현옥)

Left is Sirius and right is Eleanora. But they both go by their Korean name: 현금 (Hyun-Geum), 현옥 (Hyun-Oak). In 2019, they were both adopted from a humane society in Indiana (though they don’t speak nor understand a single English word :)). Check more photos here!: Sirius & Eleanora
